Diagnostics
Diagnostic tools are an important part of the day in the Vet clinic with all of our Vets being highly trained in these areas. These tools help offer us some understanding of your pets health. We offer on site imaging with X-ray and Ultrasound to advanced and precise laboratory blood machines and microscope equipment.
Euthanasia services
From professional medical advice, quality of life chats and the final moment we strive to make this process as easy as possible for you and your beloved pet. Working closely with Passing Paws cremation company, together we take good care of you and your pet in these difficult times. Please contact the clinic for more information on this process.
Emergency
We are always happy to help with any emergencies that may arise with your pet. No concern is too big or too little. If you feel your pet is currently in a medical emergency, please bring them straight in, alternatively if it is outside our opening hours please contact WAVES on 9412 5700
Hospitalisations
We are a fully functional hospital for all your sick pets needs with comfortable facilities to hospitalise unwell patients during the day and overnight. Diagnostic tools to help your sick pet including blood machines, Ultrasound, Intravenous fluid therapy and a fully stocked pharmacy with a large range of medications to assist and highly trained staff in caring for and supporting sick pets.
Consultations
We are open for extended hours, Monday to Friday from 08:00AM to 6:30PM and Saturday from 08:00AM to 12:00PM, which means we can be available for you as much as we can. If you have a pet emergency during these hours, please don’t hesitate to contact our dedicated team on 9314 7444 for advice over the phone, and to get your furry friend seen to as soon as possible.
Dentistry
At South St Vet we prefer to keep teeth clean and avoid doing dentals where all we can do is remove your pet's teeth. there is nothing worse than the pain that causes for your pet, and for your wallet. Call us to discuss our competitive dental care options.
Vaccinations
We offer a full suite of pet vaccinations, and all our vaccination appointments include a full checkup with the vet to make sure your best friend is in tip top shape prior to their injection. We are flexible in the type and administration for different pets, and also offer titre testing should you wish to check your pet's protection rather than routinely vaccinating each year.
Nutrition
Our vets and nurses are very well educated on pet nutrition, and Dr. Tiegs has a particular focus on gut health and the importance of nutrition and gut microbial health in managing lots of different medical conditions and also supporting general wellness. We have dietary recommendations for all pets and situations, ranging from supermarket brands through premium prescription diets all the way to holistic home prepared diets with perfect nutritional balance.

Drs Tiegs and Mark have a combined experience of over 40 years, and in that time they’ve developed a huge combined range of surgical skills to assist you and your pet, no matter what the problem may be.
